My name is Jay Wagers and this is my new blog to help me return to the health lifestyle I use to live. 

Why:  After years of smoking, drinking (sometimes too much), and other bad habits, I decided there needed to be some changes.  I used to be a very healthy person and despised such ways.  But, somehow, I fell into them.  So, I thought that a blog about “bringing back” that lifestyle would the a great catalyst for the changes.

Purpose:  The purpose of the blog is to keep me motivated.  Another reason is to keep a record.  Also, maybe it will motivate others to do the same.

The Name:  I turned 40 years old on March 27, 2008.  That’s the reason for the 40.  “Redux” is an old word that means ”brought back.”  In Latin it means “returning” and is from the word reducere, which means “to lead back.”  That’s what my intentions are to do:  bring back my former healthy lifestyle.
